Our centre rules, code of conduct, safeguarding policy and cancellation terms — keeping SportsForLife safe and fair for everyone.

🏟️ Centre Rules

👟
Appropriate footwear required

Football boots for outdoor pitches. Indoor trainers with non-marking soles for all indoor areas. No bare feet on court surfaces.

Sports clothing must be worn

Appropriate sportswear is required in all playing areas. No jeans, work boots or inappropriate attire on pitches or courts.

No smoking or vaping on site

SportsForLife is a completely smoke-free and vape-free environment including all outdoor areas and car parks.

No alcohol on premises

Consumption or possession of alcohol is strictly prohibited in all areas of the centre.

No pets allowed

Pets are not permitted on site. Registered assistance dogs are welcome.

Mobile phones in playing areas

We ask that mobile phones are kept out of active playing areas during sessions. Photography must follow our photo policy below.

Damage to equipment or facilities

Any deliberate or negligent damage to SportsForLife property may result in costs being charged to the responsible party and potential ban from the centre.

Respect everyone

All members, guests, staff and visitors must be treated with respect regardless of age, gender, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation.

No abusive language

Offensive, threatening or discriminatory language will not be tolerated anywhere on site.

Zero tolerance for violence

Any form of physical aggression will result in immediate removal from the premises and a permanent ban from SportsForLife.

Fair play

We expect all participants to play fairly and with integrity. Cheating, match manipulation or unsporting behaviour will not be tolerated.

Follow staff instructions

All staff members have the authority to make decisions regarding centre operations and participant safety.

🛡️ Safeguarding Policy

Under-18s must be accompanied for sign-up

All members under 18 must have their membership registered by a parent or legal guardian. Under-14s must be collected from the centre by an adult after each session.

DBS checked staff

All staff and volunteers who work with young people hold a current Enhanced DBS check. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Sarah Malik.

Reporting concerns

Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to our Designated Safeguarding Lead or to Greater Manchester Police.

1-to-1 situations

Staff will never be alone with a young person in an unobservable environment. All 1-to-1 coaching takes place in visible areas of the centre.

How to cancel

Cancel through your Dashboard, via the booking system, or by emailing info@sportsforlife.co.uk. Refunds are processed within 5 working days.

💳 Membership Terms

Monthly rolling membership

Monthly memberships renew automatically each month. Cancel anytime with 30 days' written notice before your next billing date.

📅
Annual membership

Annual memberships are paid upfront. A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, a pro-rated refund applies for unused months.

Membership is non-transferable

Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred, shared or sold to another individual.

⏸️
Membership freeze

Members may request to freeze their membership for up to 3 months per year due to illness or injury. Medical evidence may be required.

📸 Photography & Media Policy

Photographing minors

Photography or video recording of anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from a parent or guardian and from SportsForLife management.

SportsForLife media use

We may photograph or film sessions for use on our website and social media. Participants who do not wish to be included should notify a staff member before their session.

📱
Social media

Members are welcome to share photos of themselves at SportsForLife. Please ensure no other identifiable individuals — especially minors — appear without consent.

⛑️ Health & Safety

First aid

Trained first aiders are on site during all opening hours. First aid kits are located at reception and in each sports hall. Defibrillators are available at reception.

Medical conditions

Members with medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate safely should inform staff before joining sessions.

Fire safety

In the event of a fire alarm, all participants must exit immediately via the nearest emergency exit and assemble in the car park.

Hydration

Water bottles are encouraged and water fountains are available throughout the centre. Stay hydrated during all sessions.
